General Plastics & Composites
Management

General Plastics & Composites LP is a manufacturer of engineered components and turnkey products including composites, elastomers and/or metal for oilfield service companies worldwide. Through our subsidiaries, GP Rubber, Express Boring and a dedicated metal machining division, we are able to manage all aspects of projects in-house, maintain quality and control costs.

Since 1967, we have been manufacturing and machining a broad range of composite materials for hostile environments, specializing in composite products and solutions for the oil and gas industry. Our 40 years of experience is unbeatable as we provide innovative solutions to meet the leading varied technological advancements in the oilfield industry. Our thorough understanding of the demanding environment and requirements in vertical and horizontal drilling allow us to partner with our oilfield customers to co-develop remarkable composite materials that are industry changing.

Located in southeast Houston, Texas, we are continually adding capacity through new equipment, facility improvements and a growing workforce of dedicated employees. We take great pride in our experience level and commitment to long-term relationships with many oilfield service customers. At the same time, we also pride ourselves in offering a positive work setting for our employees, with a comfortable, supportive, safe and environmentally-sound work environment.

Involved with General Plastics & Composites since 1997, David is owner and CEO of the company, and has 30+ years of oilfield service experience, along with 14 years of composite application experience. Simon has 25+ years experience in lean manufacturing and has been with the company since 2007, when he joined as general manager. He has a broad operations, manufacturing and machining background.
